Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Bumprise mobile application, related web pages, content, and connected support channels made available by Hanai Inc.

By downloading, accessing, creating an account for, or using Bumprise, you agree to be bound by these terms and by the Bumprise Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You may use Bumprise only if you can form a binding agreement under applicable law. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use the service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If you are under 13, do not use Bumprise without parental or guardian permission.

You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating or maintaining an account, safeguarding your login credentials, and all activity that occurs under your account.

Bumprise provides health education, informational content, lived-experience stories, and access pathways to support resources. It is not a hospital, emergency service, physician practice, telemedicine provider, or diagnostic device.

Content in the app is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional. Always seek the advice of a licensed clinician regarding questions about your health, pregnancy, symptoms, medications, or treatment options.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, do not rely on the app, chat content, or community responses. Contact emergency services or seek immediate in-person medical care.

Subject to these terms, Hanai Inc grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use Bumprise for your personal, non-commercial use on devices that you own or control, in accordance with the usage rules of the app marketplace from which you obtained the app.

This license does not transfer any ownership rights in the app, its code, its design, its content, or any related intellectual property.

• You may not copy, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app or its content except as expressly allowed by us in writing.
• You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, create derivative works from, or attempt to extract source code from the app except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
• You may not use Bumprise to build or support a competing service or dataset.

You agree to use Bumprise lawfully, respectfully, and only for its intended purposes. You may not use the service in a way that harms other users, interferes with the platform, or violates applicable law.

• Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, role, or qualifications.
• Do not post, transmit, or store unlawful, defamatory, abusive, threatening, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful content.
• Do not use community or chat features to harass, spam, advertise, solicit, or distribute malware or malicious code.
• Do not attempt to bypass moderation, security controls, account restrictions, or technical protections.
• Do not submit content that infringes another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
• Do not present yourself as a medical professional unless you are authorized to do so within the service and your account is designated accordingly.

Bumprise includes features that allow users to submit comments, replies, messages, feedback, and other content. You retain whatever ownership rights you have in the content you lawfully submit, but you grant Hanai Inc a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and otherwise use that content as necessary to operate, secure, moderate, improve, and provide Bumprise.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit and for the consequences of submitting it. We do not endorse user content, and we are not responsible for opinions, advice, or statements made by other users.

Bumprise relies on third-party platforms and services for functionality such as authentication, storage, messaging workflows, app distribution, and linked external pages. Your use of those third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The app may link to external websites, advisor pages, support pages, PDFs, email links, app-store pages, or other third-party resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of those third-party services.

We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, content, languages, integrations, or parts of Bumprise at any time. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, error-free, or suitable for your device or region.

Your mobile carrier, operating system provider, device manufacturer, app store, or other third party may impose separate terms, fees, or technical limitations. You are responsible for internet access, data charges, hardware compatibility, and other third-party requirements needed to use the service.

Hanai Inc, and not Apple, Google, or another marketplace operator, is responsible for Bumprise support to the extent support is offered. App marketplaces have no independent obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.

The app, its branding, editorial content, visual design, software, compilations, and related materials are owned by Hanai Inc or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property and other applicable laws.

If you send us ideas, suggestions, product feedback, or recommendations about Bumprise, you agree that we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to Bumprise if we believe you violated these terms, created risk for other users, misused community features, interfered with the service, or if suspension is otherwise reasonably necessary for legal, operational, or security reasons.

You may stop using Bumprise at any time. Deleting the app from your device does not by itself guarantee deletion of your account data; for that, use the in-app delete-account flow or contact us as described in the Privacy Policy.

Bumprise is provided on an as is and as available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Hanai Inc disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hanai Inc will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of Bumprise.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to Bumprise or these terms will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars or the amount you paid directly to Hanai Inc, if any, for use of the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury to the extent such exclusion is prohibited.

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, you and Hanai Inc agree that disputes arising out of or relating to Bumprise or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in or serving San Francisco, California, and each party submits to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We may revise these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may publish the updated version through the Bumprise site or app and update the last-updated date. Your continued use of Bumprise after the updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
